Friendship Week Celebrations at Nethority
Every year, the first Sunday of August is celebrated as the Friendship Day. This day, most people across the globe come together to have a good time with their most loved friends. Here in Nethority, we rejoiced the whole week with a lot of pomp.
The week started with a small ‘Shravan Puja’ in our office on Monday. The office was decorated with flowers, rangolis were made and everyone was dressed in beautiful traditional attire. Guests were invited on this occasion to offer their prayers. Sweets were distributed and the environment was peaceful as if Lord Shiva was showering his blessings on his devotees.
On Tuesday, it was a Corporate Day where everyone was dressed in formals. It was definitely a break from the regular routine for everyone. A tie was the mandatory fashion accessory for the day.
Wednesday was followed by the Mismatch Day. Here, everyone flaunted their creative side by getting dressed upside-down. Some were dressed in wild colours paired with mismatch footwear, while some experimented with a fusion of traditional and western outfit. Everyone came with their own unique ideas for the day. Thursday was a Retro Day where everyone was exhibiting the era of 60s-70s. On this day we consciously imitated the dressing style and attitude of the past. Scarfs, Palazzos, Hairband, large sun glasses, polka dots were majorly used Some girls dressed like the yesteryear actresses; even the boys joined them with the funky dressing style of that era. It was a fun filled occasion where every Nethorian participated.
To conclude the week, we celebrated Friendship Day on Friday. The Nethorians were overjoyed by the games arranged for this occasion. We tied Friendship bands to each other. Also, we shared chocolates and other gifts with each other.
